Confidence in IELTS Speaking comes from habits, not memorised answers. Here are simple habits that work.

12 habits for better speaking

  • Answer with 2–3 sentences (not one word)
  • Use examples from Sylhet / daily life
  • Record yourself for 2 minutes daily
  • Fix 1 pronunciation issue per week
  • Learn 10 topic vocab words weekly
  • Practice Part 2 with a timer
  • Use linking words naturally (because, however, for example)
  • Don’t stop—rephrase if stuck
  • Practice “follow-up” questions
  • Speak slowly and clearly
  • Use simple grammar accurately
  • Get feedback from a trainer
